LalPac Enterprise adds the ability to access many standard licensing functions through a standard web browser. LalPac Enterprise works alongside LalPac, sharing the same database but on a separate server. LalPac Enterprise enables you to make many licensing functions available to other users outside of Local Authority licensing.

E-government

LalPac Enterprise takes licensing into e-government and offers access to licensing functions by partner organisations, such as Police and Fire Safety, field staff, and the general public.

Standards for e-government specify the use of the XML standard for information interchange. Because LalPac Enterprise uses this standard, and because LalPac are committed to supporting all relevant XML schemas approved as government standards, it also provides for an open-ended e-GIF compliant way of interfacing licensing functions with central resources such as property gazetteers (LLPG), GIS (Geographic Information Systems), Finance, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Systems and others.

LalPac Enterprise is conformant to Level AA of the WC3 Web Content Accessibility Guildelines 1.0.

LalPac Enterprise will:

• Allow the Local Authority to configure access for (e.g.) Police/Fire to be consulted and to complete checks online
• Enable online applications for licence types chosen by the Local Authority
• Work over your intranet and the internet, using standard web browsers
• Work over wireless wide-area networks (using mobile phone technology) thus allowing LalPac to be deployed on hand-held computers in the field using mobile phone technology
• Generate web pages dynamically using user-configurable options within LalPac, without the need for you to create an e-forms front end
• Provide an open interface to support both integration with other software applications
  (whether internal to the authority or external) and integration within your chosen e-government architecture

Can I get LalPac Enterprise??

LalPac Enterprise is available to customers who contract for the new LalPac Gold level licensing package.

Prices for LalPac Enterprise are fixed on an annual licence fee basis to include the provision of hardware as follows:

• LalPac Enterprise server software, configured and installed on a server from a leading brand-name supplier (currently Hewlett Packard)

• The server hardware, operating system and other software required to support LalPac Enterprise

• Online upgrades to LalPac Enterprise and server software

• Remote support for initial installation and deployment

• Software support

• Manufacturer’s standard hardware warranty or upgraded warranty at additional cost

• Subject to signature of a three year contract
